The company was started back in 1999, after the sole member Mr MB Chemane had a vision to start his own business. This was after an extensive market research and an opportunity was seen in the market to establish a company dealing with construction, sales and maintenance of mobile cold rooms, air-condition and storage cold rooms.

The company was founded by the sole member, with the minimum resources but with a big vision. Wosiyane Cold Room Manufactures, CK 1999/012767/23 was formed to address such opportunity and feel the gap that existed in the market. It first operated in Glen Anil, North Coast Road from 1999 till 2003. In 2003 the offices and workshop moved to: 98 Abort Francis Road, Marianhill, which is still the current registered office of the business. These premises are rented from the Marianhill Mission.
